Aim

This course is suitable for any oil and gas personnel working in the presence of toxic and flammable gases or where there may be a lack of oxygen.

Objectives

  • Be able to survey areas for potentially flammable or toxic gases using the detection equipment available
  • Be able to survey areas and verify suitable oxygen levels
  • Be aware of the capabilities and limitations of flammable gas test equipment
  • Appreciate the requirements of Permit to Work procedures and specified requirements relating to gas testing
